Neil was a banker for a couple of years when his mother went back into the workforce as a Realtor. In her first year, she made twice as much as he did as a banker. It was then that he decided to enter the real estate industry. It fit like a glove. By at the age of 29, he became the #1 RE/MAX agent in Iowa.

After years of hustling and grinding as an agent Neil longed for more control over his schedule, the freedom to choose how he spent his time, to be at peace by not always having to “be on” when we was out in public, not always trying to steer a conversation to real estate and if someone was planning on moving this year. 

Neil found a home in real estate investing and started by investing in single family homes. Finding single-family far less passive than he expected, Neil stumbled upon his first commercial deal and discovered his passion for commercial properties. Neil’s commercial portfolio spans a variety of asset classes, including industrial, apartments, office, mobile home parks, retail, and self-storage. 

Neil is a real estate syndicator and his mission is inherently personal. He is passionate about helping other top-producing agents gain financial freedom through passively investing in commercial real estate. He empowers high-earning agents to break the commission handcuffs to become agent-optional on their own terms.

Neil has been involved in over $300 million+ in transactions and is the host of the popular podcast, “Passive Real Estate Investing with Mavericks.”

Neil and his wife Emily are proud parents of three energetic teens. Playing football at the collegiate level, Neil is a natural competitor and enjoys activities such as deep-sea fishing, barbecues, and beating his kids at Kiyosaki’s Cashflow board game.
